Weʼve raised £1,310 to help buy a bus for a disabled group in Mexico I am going to abseil 115 feet down Ripon Cathedral tower.

Story
This disabled group in Mexico need a new bus to enable them to continue the amazing work they do. They travel around the state of Morelos in Mexico, repairing wheelchairs, and all of them are themselves in wheelchairs. There is little help for disabled people in Mexico and particularly among the poor. Thanks to help from Rotary Clubs, they provide all the spare parts free, they only ask for a small payment for their labour. I worked with them for a couple of days and was so impressed - they worked extremely long hours to make sure all the chairs brought to them were repaired and renewed 150 chairs in under 2 days. Their bus is constantly breaking down and is also too small for them and their wheelchairs. Please help and donate towards a new bus so that they can continue with the wonderful work they do.

5 years agoThank you to all those who have already supported my fundraising. I am so pleased to have raised 79% of my target online. The group, ALEM, are currently working near Puebla, so are away from their homes for 3 days, doing what they do so well - repairing wheelchairs for other disabled users. 5 years ago77% of target is amazing. But the group I am fund raising for really need help to continue doing the valuable work they do. So thankful for all my help so far but hoping some more of my family and friends will find themselves able to donate a little. Please Help if you can, no matter how little, all the donations add up.
