    Story

I am going to attempt a 2.5km open water swim around Hever Castle lake to help raise money so my best friend can take his eldest daughter, Eva, to the Napa Center in America, for an intensive course of physiotherapy. Eva has got cerebral palsy which affects the muscle tone in her body. She is currently unable to stand or walk independently, which can be extremely frustrating for her. Eva is a bright, bubbly and chatty little girl, but her physical disability prevents her from joining in with her friends and doing all the things that she would like to do. Eva is 3 years old and will therefore be starting school in September next year; so her parents want to give her the best start to school by helping her become as physically independent as possible, and that is where the Napa Center comes in..

The Napa Center in Los Angeles is a world- renowned therapy centre that helps children with cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions to achieve their full potential. They have amazing therapists and employ different styles of physiotherapy that are not available in the UK. They have offered Eva a three-week block of intensive treatment which, along with Eva's determined personality, will help her on her road to being able to walk independently. The Napa Center is usually booked up a year in advance so its lucky that they had a spare slot in December. I would greatly appreciate any donations to help towards this life-changing trip. Please feel free to share this link.

It costs £10000 to send Eva to the NAPA Center so to help raise funds, I will be attempting a 2.5km open water swim at Hever Castle on 22nd September 2018. It may not sound far but it will be the furthest I have ever swam and I will be doing it without a wetsuit. So it's gonna be chilly. All donations welcome, big or small. It’s all for a good cause. Andrew (on behalf of James, Naomi, Lydia and Eva) x
