Andy Haswell, David Scott and John Hamil all work colleagues for many years made a decision in 2018 to walk the West Highland Way from the last week in April through to the start of May
None of us avid walkers but we're up for a challenge..

We'll be doing the walk in 7 days with varying miles and terrain daily to accumulate the 97 mile adventure. Hopefully the weather gods will be kind to us as well as the midges.

Preperation started last year by planning routes, booking all accommodation (easy option rather than camping) , correct clothing, footwear, equipment purchased and the worst bit, the training.........

Time has crept up on us and before long we'll be hitting the hills, lochs, munros and some of the best scenery in Scotland. Exciting stuff and the three of us are looking forward to it as well as some good craic on the route as well as meeting people from all over the world on our travels from Milngavie to Fort William.

We never thought about it at the time but have decided that to keep ourselves focused we would make this a charity expedition with all proceeds going to the Beatson Cancer Hospital in Glasgow.

No particular reason rather than everyone of us has someone close to our hearts either in the past or present that has dealings with this horrible disease. Every penny that can be put towards a cure will help each and everyone of us in a certain way.
