I Have been confined to a wheelchair from the age of 15, I was raped and I jumped from the fourth floor of a building, to get away from the rapist I broke my back and damaged my spinal cord and ended up confined to a wheelchair in 1980. The rapist got away with the crime, due to him being beaten up by stoke newington police and also told lies to the judge and got away with it, I was depressed for so many years for three years I did not leave my house the pain from it all still scars me now till this day. From the age of 18 I have studied fashion I went to many fashion classes I attended the LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION went I was 30 years old, I studied Tailoring for four years then I left college with distinction but I could not get work, my disability made it difficult because of the listed building not being able to be adapted for wheelchair access, I was turned down so many times because of my disability I NEVER gave up hope I continued to study at different colleges. I have skills and talents and I have never had the chance to work I make garments for family and friends on a domestic sewing machine, but to be professional I NEED a Industrial sewing machine which sews faster and gives a better professional look I am always in debt because living on government Benefits, is living from hand to mouth I have children I want to work to support them I got married three years ago my husband lived in Jamaica, I was going to send for him so he could work to help support me he got murdered on the 5 NOVEMBER 2018 and I am so depressed. If I could work for myself I believe my life would improve and I could be more independent I want to change my story of sorrow and pain. Friends and family always tell me my garments are beautifully made I will post of the last garment I made for a friend. Please help me to purchase the industrial sewing machine which will change my life, so I can finally be independent and support my family.
