I am crowdfunding to help a friend, who has a beautiful dog, a cockerpoo called Ellie, who is having surgery at Fitzpatrick referrals. As you can imagine this is very expensive and the surgery is going to be a lot more serious than initially envisaged. I am setting this up because I am sure that a lot of Annelie’s friends and acquaintances would be more than happy to help. I have to stress that my friend will not do it herself as she feels people may not want to give, but the fact remains that they haven't got the cash and the dog needs the surgery. They have insurance, but it does not cover the costs. I am going to try to raise £5,000, but if this is not attainable – it doesn’t matter, in the words of my favourite supermarket “Every Little Helps”. All those fivers add up!
I want to add that I am also doing this because I was a close friend of Annelie’s Mother, who we lost in 2011 . She was a dog lover too, in fact Ellie was born on the day she died, and is called Ellie for her, so you can imagine what a special little dog she is to her Mum.
