Anna is a young woman who came to the UK with the dream of going to university.

But instead she was stolen by strangers outside her house and forced into sex slavery.

Kidnapped and forced into Ireland against her will, she said "I knew, at that point, that I was going to be sold".

Anna was raped thousands of times, her bruise-covered body and her plight ignored by the police when they raided the house where she was being held captive. She went without food, without sunlight, without a scrap of human decency. Anna must have thought that whatever future she had ahead of her was going to be bleak.

Anna's story has been made into a book, but she is unlikely to see much if anything in the way of profit from her brave story. Even if she were to eventually make a small amount of money from her tale of warning, it would be too little, too late. Her story has been told more fuller in a BBC article, which you can read here.

The need is now. This woman came to the UK in search of education, of doing something meaningful with her life. Instead, she was kidnapped, beaten and raped.

We can't undo these wrongs but we can try to make Anna's life a bit easier, and help her on her way to the education she so desperately wants and so obviously deserves.

Please do the right thing for Anna.
