myself and my husband have been running pubs for 22yrs and over the years have been used and abused by pub companies with all the false promises we have been very passionate about the pub trade and we love the job we do but we have learned that the better you do the more it back fires we have had 4 pubs that we have made very successful sold from under us and we have realised that there is no loyalty to you no matter how good you are! only today after 19mths in a pub that we have took from doing £3000 to doing £8000 that i have to get rid of my chickens that i have had for 7yrs and they knew about them when they offered us the pub and as much as we love the pub and customers where we are we have realised that we have no security and we are getting no younger hubby is 59 and im 56 but not in good health with osteoarthritis reumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia and if we leave the trade we have no home to live in so i want to buy a piece of canalside land and live on a boat the land we will turn into a campsite to generate an income to keep us going and we will have my chickens roaming also bbq and hog roast at the weekend for the campers and boaters if we leave the pub we have no jobs so cannot privately rent and the council wont help i dont want to ask for charity i will give free camping to anyone who helps we just want some security for our old age thank you for taking the time to read our story
