Those who are following the Indian News recently might have come across the news of the devastating Natural Disaster which has hit the South Indian state Kerala.

Currently the state is in war kind of situation where Army, Air-force and Navy are leading the rescue operations. 90% of the state have been completely flooded, all the 14 districts are under red alert, 350+ lives have been lost till date, more than a million people are in rescue camps and more than a million people have lost their homes, all the 44 rivers are flowing in dangerous level and with vigour, all 22 dams have been kept open for the first time in history, the rain is still hitting the region hard and a red alert has been raised across the state for the next 4 days. The state haven’t seen such a disaster in the past 100 years and the Central government are in the verge of declaring it as a National Calamity and current estimated loss is close to 200 billion Indian Rupees.

In this time of great difficulty, it would be really helpful if we can provide the government with our helping hands in the form of donations, things which the rescue camps are running out of.

I have raised this fund raiser which will be directed to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF). Request everyone to provide a helping hand for the people in Kerala who are going through a really difficult phase. I would also like to request you to inform your friends who are part of NGO’s in India and Red cross to send the required items and man power to the relief camps which will also help them.
