Another Fine Fest

On 15th - 16th June we are back with our 6th annual, twice record breaking, free, family friendly festival celebrating the birth of our man Stan Laurel in the town of his birth, whilst raising money for St Mary''s Hospice & Ulverston MIND

Featuring Live Music - DJs - Live Street & Window Art - Street Theatre - Circus - Comedy (Edinburgh Fringe Festival Previews) - Magic - Workshops & More across 12 stages and throughout the streets of Ulverston Town!......

We have teamed up with our friends at ESKFEST, The Boom Dang Foundation and Bright Blue Studios to bring you this unbelievable musical give away! 4 x Eskfest weekend tickets with camping - a drumming workshop for up to 40 people and a 3 hour rehearsal session in a studio! UNREAL!!!

4 Weekend Tickets + Camping (Total value of £260) This includes free parking space and access to the festival from Thursday - Sunday morning and free entry to the Sunday Afterparty at The Woolpack Inn on Sunday evening too. BOOM DANG FOUNDATION - TURN YOUR ORGANISATION INTO A BAND IN ONE HOUR!

"The Boom Dang Foundation provides creative music activities that positively impacts the lives of participants. We offer drumming workshops for anyone wanting a fun, vibrant, engaging and inspiring experience!

Using our original Boom Dang drums, The Boom Dang Foundation will turn your organisation into a band in one hour! The motivational workshop will bring together all staff from your organisation to play as one.

We will split your group into smaller bands. Each band will learn the same rhythms and breaks so that when we bring them back together after one hour, they can play as one GIANT band, playing in time and in tune with each other. Perfect as an ice-breaker or team-building event.

3 HOURS REHEARSAL TIME IN BRIGHT BLUE STUDIOS - ULVERSTON!

"Bright Blue Recording Studios is an informal project studio set up in Ulverston. It is the perfect environment for recording artists, producers, and Dj’s to come along and get creative. Here at Bright Blue Studios we offer an array of professional services ranging from traditional recording through to DJ tuition."

It has been a tough one for the festival in 2019. The Arts Council, our biggest backers in previous years, decided not to fund us this time, having provided £10,000 of our overall budget in previous years. No stone has been left unturned in the pursuit for alternative funding with numerous other grants sought out and applied for, sponsorships and advertising sold to some fantastic local businesses, a successful crowdfunding campaign now completed and official merchandise created and sold.

We are now hosting a series of raffles to help boost our funding and give you the chance to win some amazing prizes!

All profits go into the running of the event and pay wages for many local acts, artists, technicians and providers as well as bringing world class acts from afar. The more we can generate the more special the event can be and the further afield we will be able to promote, in turn bringing lots of people to town to celebrate in fine style with us and raise even more money for St Mary’s Hospice & Ulverston MIND. It would be really great if we could generate enough to have some left over In the pot for next year and relieve a lot of the major funding stress in the run up!
