This crowdfund has been set up for Anusha, who lost Dulip (her husband) and Sajini and Vimukthi (her 2 children) in the terrorist explosion in St Sebastian’s church on Easter Sunday.

Although the Sri Lankan government have covered funeral expenses for Anusha's family, that is about as far as it goes.

She lost her family in the bombing, has glass in her brain, and is now partially deaf.

What the money will be used for:

The health services in Sri Lanka are rudimentary at best, and life insurance is non existent. The money will initially be used to cater for Anusha’s immediate needs, and to help her get back on her feet as far as is possible. Going forward after that, she has lost the breadwinner in her family, and has been left with little or no financial security.

How it will be distributed:

On 7th June, this crowdfund will be closed, and the money transferred to a joint account held by Sunee and Will Goring. From there, it will be transferred immediately to the account of Lakshi (Patrick’s (Sunee's Dad) partner), whom we obviously trust implicitly. Lakshi will ensure that the money goes directly to her sister, and is spent in a responsible way, ensuring that she has the very best possible chance in the future.
