Thank you so much for coming to our page. My story is a long one but I will try and keep it simple. I went to college to study animal management and struggled through Depression and anxiety. I struggled greatly but managed to complete the course and gain my qualification. My mum has complex ptsd through a terrible experience and use to have a rescue center of her own. Sadly she had to give it up when the unthinkable happened.

I left college and started work in the animal industry and loved the diverse work and challenges.

Then in February my mum took a turn for the worse. She was disassociating more often and was wandering off. The police picked her up and brought her home many times.

I then realised that she needed me and left my job.

I loved running the rescue center with my mum whilst I was at college and have always wanted to be my own boss and continue this work.

I now have this opportunity to turn my dreams into a reality alongside looking after my mum. I am highly qualified and so is my mum in all aspects of animal care and welfare. I know that by working with the animals and doing what she does so well it will also help mums trauma recovery.

Its a situation I never thought I would find myself in and I am very lucky to have the support I need to achieve this. My Mum a lot of the time is perfectly fine but can disassociate in a second so I need to be close to her. However with her experience of running a rescue and experience in the animal welfare sector she is a huge help.

I strongly believe that all animals should have the gift of love warmth and care. I strongly do not believe in euthanisation unless as a last resort and in the animals best interest. All Animals from the humble spider to the shire horse have a heart and a soul so should be treated equally.

I have found a perfect piece of land and shelter in North Devon which is very exciting. However we need electric installed, concrete laid and equipment to purchase. This is where I am asking for your help.

To get completely up and running it will cost £10,000. I know this is an awful lot of money. But alongside my drive, ambition and support I know this is possible.
