Arthur was only 10 weeks old when we noticed he didnt act like a normal energetic puppy. He was very lethargic and didnt want to play much with his brother. He lost a lot of weight and started acting strangely, such as becoming restless and pacing around in circles. We kept feeding him normal food and didnt realise how ill this was making him, he started sleeping constantly and became very weak and underweight.

One day he started vomiting and when we brought him to the vet he was so badly dehydrated the vet advised us to rush him to the emergency animal hospital and we were told he might not make it through the night. He stayed there for a few nights on an IV drip and getting antibiotics. The vet ran blood tests and his liver results came back highly abnormal. They did more testing and found out Arthur was born with a birth defect - a liver shunt. This is a blood vessel that carries blood away from the liver and straight to the heart so the toxins in his blood are not able to be cleansed by his liver and are being pumped through his system and eventually to his brain causing neurological issues (brain damage). 😖

The vet advised if he doesnt have surgery we would either have to put him down or keep him on antibiotics and a special diet but he wont survive his first year of life without the surgery. The insurance will not cover this because he was born with it so they class it as pre-existing. We have already spent £1000 on the diagnostic testing and arthurs time in the animal hospital so need help to fund the surgery and aftercare.

Please help us save our beautiful Arthur by helping us raise the money we need for this life saving operation. He is getting worse day by day. He is the most loving puppy, such a funny character and he has a heart of gold. He doesnt deserve this, he deserves to live a long, healthy and happy life with his brother Alfie. He deserves to have the energy he needs to run and play with his bro. He is family, we wont give up on him, we love him millions and cant lose him ❤️❤️🐶🐶
