My neighbours father Edward died suddenly last week. He didnt have much savings and he didnt have a funeral plan. Because of his nationailty and the pension credit he was receiving the funeral is to be held in Poland as they need the grant money to help to pay for the funeral. As it is a polish pension, the funeral has to take place there to get some assistance with the costs.

Edward was a very kind and happy man. A devoted dad and grand dad and catholic. His family were very important to him. His daughter Kate is still in shock and understandingly, finding the funeral organising very upsetting and now stressful as she is certain that she will be unable to attend her fathers funeral due to the flight costs. Her two children are also wanting to attend the funeral to pay their last respects to their grand father.

Unfortunately my neighbour is unable to pay for the flight tickets to attend the funeral as all of the family’s savings have been used to pay for her fathers flight back to Poland.

I have looked for charities to see if anyone can help her and came across this site and thought I would appeal to the British and Polish communities and flight companies/airlines. Please can you help Kate?
