    Story

Bank House has offered a support service in Swadlincote since 1995. We have recently lost long established funding from Derbyshire County Council and the NHS. While this has been a devastating blow it has also freed us from the constraints of a statutory contract, giving us an ideal opportunity to continue and extend our project to reach more people and solve more problems.

Bank House provides numerous services for adults with a wide range of issues (including, but not limited to, mental health issues, isolation, physical health needs, sensory impairment, learning difficulties, confidence and self esteem issues, substance misuse, bereavement, homelessness, welfare needs ) in a safe, supportive, friendly, non-judgmental manner, in a fabulous purpose designed building.

    We will continue to provide:-
An accessible open access drop-in service for any adult with any issues.
A friendly face and a warm welcome.
    Friendly support and advice.
    No waiting lists.
A wide range of interest based group activities.
One to one support and guidance.
    Sports and exercise groups.
    Literacy and Numeracy support.
    Healthy weight management.
    Basic cooking skills.
    Life skills education.
    Bereavement counselling.
    Benefits advice.
    Housing support.
    Supported visits and excursions.
    LGBT+ support group.
Support for those experiencing domestic violence.
    Young peoples support sessions.
Support for those in the criminal justice services.
    Advocacy.
Volunteer opportunities and training for qualifications.
    Work placements for students.
Support for young people leaving care services.
Breakfast and supper clubs for those who are hungry.
Laundry facilities for those without a home.
Personal care facilities for those without a home.
    Fun activities with friends.
Supported signposting to other appropriate services and agencies.
    Walking groups and local visits.

If Bank House has helped you or a loved one please help us to continue for many more years.
