Mental health issues will affect 1 in 10 young people. This includes conditions such as depression and anxiety. Suicide is the second biggest killer of young people aged between 15-29 around the world. 20% of all young adults will consider suicide at some point in in their lives, with a further 8% actually attempting to take their lives. Nobody should feel so lost, so helpless that they believe taking their own life is the only answer. Beautiful souls is a free, anonymous and impartial support service for anybody who feels they're going through a tough time. We will never invalidate your feelings regardless of how small you feel the problem is. Everybody's struggles with daily life are different. Beautiful souls is for all people going through difficulty, as a society we see depression and suicide as a taboo subject and its avoided in conversation. This is not the way. These issues need to be addressed and people need to feel safe to talk about their problems without fear of judgement .

With the donations received we wish to bring more people together. People who are feeling too low to even get out of bed in the mornings, people who feel they have nowhere to turn too, people who feel there is no escape from the way they're feeling. Our main aim is simply to get people talking, whether it be talking to one of our fabulous volunteers or another person also going through a hard time.
