Story
After two years of 'lots of' Parkruns, quite a few 10k’s one 10 miler and 2 half marathons we (Leigh, Michael, Jeanie, Stella and Caroline) have decided to take the plunge and go for the biggie…..’26.2 miles Manchester Marathon’ on Sunday 7th April!! Our team name is Bee26.2gether.
We have rounded up a group of lovely friends that are kindly going to each man a support station every few miles for us (8 in total). They will all have a big ‘Bee’ helium balloon with them to make it easier to spot them. They will also have a bag with a few supplies in e.g. blister plasters, Jelly Babies, water, water sprays, tissues, tablets……….. even a stretcher!! So we thought this would be a great opportunity to raise some sponsorship. We have asked the support station crews to each choose a charity and we will divide the monies between them.
The most valued support is definitely going to be the emotional and moral support in knowing that the crew will be there waiting for us along the way!
So if you’re around on the day it would be great to see you!

5 years agoWow we did it!!!! Our Bee26.2gether runners completed the ‘Manchester Marathon 2019’ and absolutely smashed our target of £500 by raising £1566.......yes.....£1566.....for our amazing charities! Thank you so much for all the moral support on the big day and for helping to raise this fantastic amount of money. We still have sponsors kindly donating so the Just Giving page will stay open until the end of the week. With your help, we’ve made a difference for these charities. Thank you!

5 years agoThank you to everyone for all the support so far! We’ve already smashed our target of £500 with 3 weeks still to go. Lets see if we can raise the bar and reach amazing £700 for these worthy charities. Well done runners for all the hours spent pounding the streets so far........keep going, you’re nearly there!
