As many of you have seen I love rowing and I especially love rowing under our iconic bridges .

Our club is competing in the Skiffie Worlds this July in Stranraer and to help me train I've decided to do the West Highland Way (96 miles ) from Milngarvie to Fort William . You will have seen I've been doing some Munro's to help me get fit but the WHW is definitely going to be a challenge.

South Queensferry Rowing club has been such a positive thing in my life so I'd love to help give back a little something and help our club grow as we currently rely on the generosity of sponsors and fundraising from club members .

I've been asked if I'm doing the WHW for sponsorship so I thought I'd do a gentle sweep round and see if I could help the club out .

All of the donations would go to the club ( I've completely self funded my trip ) and anything received would help towards club kit for the world's , maintenance of our skiffies ( which is continuous) and new oars which will hopefully help us come home with some medals 🏅 .

An additional project our club is involved with is the green flag project we are working towards getting our green flag status by keeping our waters clean and looking at ways of reducing plastic use . Some of these funds would help us look at other ways to move forward with this including more grabbers to pick up rubbish and possibly installing drinking water to our shed so we don't need to use bottle water .

So my WHW starts 19th April over Easter weekend finishes 26th , I will be doing a daily blog on Facebook/Instagram . If you fancy giving me a little extra motivation by donating even the price of an Easter egg ( be it a kinder egg or one of those posh ones ) I/we would be so grateful. I know cash is tight and lots of people fund raise so no pressure only if you want to .
