Help support a day festival of typewriters in Dingwall. This Independent Bookshop Week, Scribe UK are giving a limited number of independent bookshops a working typewriter to set up in their shop to celebrate the publication of Notes from a Public Typewriter by Michael Gustafson and Oliver Uberti. Not content with having one typewriter in my bookshop and ask people to type random comments, I have decided to invite the Boston typewriter orchestra over to perform in Dingwall's ( and Scotland's ) first ever festival of typewriters. the band consists of eight members, who have agreed to fly over in their holidays and perform, if I can raise the necessary funds and as it is a festival I would like to invite a few more folk. Fund's pay for poets, writers, venues and typewriters. Activities include, story writing, typed poetry, cinema and typewriters, authors and their typewriters. Event planned for this June.
