Story
Assalamualaikum WRWB!
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) is reported to have said: "Whoever provides food for breaking of the fast for a fasting person receives the reward of the fasting person, without the reward of the fasting person being reduced in any way.” [Tirmidhi & Ibn Majah]
With Ramadan fast approaching, we at BLISoc plan to raise money for us to have regular iftaars on campus, insha Allah!
With revision for end of year exams coinciding with this holy month, it could potentially be a stressful time for Muslims on campus. This is especially the case with our freshers, for whom many will be experiencing Ramadan away from their families for the first time. The iftaars that we wish to hold hope to make lives easier for our students, and give us motivation to continue striving for the sake of our Lord.
As well as this, we present you with an opportunity of receiving the reward of a fasting person, which we pray will weigh heavy on the scales for your good deeds!
The Cost of a single iftaar is £125 and we plan to have 8 iftaars in total, insha Allah. Any amount that you can donate will be appreciated.
