We are trekking to the highest point in Wales to support Boomerang

The Trek

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, and at 1035metres is higher than any mountain in England. It sits majestically in Snowdonia National Park, its rugged beauty providing you with the most amazing opportunity for adventure.

The Boomerang team are inviting you to join them on a Snowdon adventure to fundraise for this wonderful charity.

This trek will take the Llanberis Path to the summit, arriving by lunchtime and (fingers crossed) for the most amazing views across Snowdonia.

About the Charity

Boomerang is the largest multi-sensory play centre in the North of England. It has been specifically designed to cater for disabled children and their complex and varying needs. A number of specialist companies designed our layout and sourced the equipment to ensure all children with any disability can access Boomerang and enjoy a stimulating, safe, sensory environment that caters for their needs.

Boomerang has three specialist play therapy rooms; a sensory room, an interactive room, a large soft play room as well as a cafe. All the rooms have hoists and are fully accessible.

Boomerang prides itself on being suitable for all children who should be able to access a play opportunity in a non-threatening environment that caters for their needs regardless of their abilities or disabilities. Boomerang offers hundreds of disabled people in the local community and further afield in the North West a place to go and have fun.

We are very proud of our achievements to date as we fly the flag for inclusive play for everyone, especially children previously excluded from the opportunity to play with and amongst able-bodied children in the community.
