    Story

I set Brave Words up to play a small part in alleviating some of the growing pressures that young people face in life. It is a Community Interest Company and any profits are reinvested in creating further opportunities for children and young people.

Youth theatre sessions create a safe space where children and young people can use theatre to express themselves creatively, gain confidence and learn teamwork and communication skills - all while having fun and making theatre together as an ensemble. I have led and worked with youth theatres for 9 years, including CAST in Doncaster, Junction Goole, Leeds Playhouse, Freedom Studios and North Yorkshire County Council.

I live in Middleton, South Leeds. Currently there is no local and affordable youth theatre, and i want to provide an opportunity for children and young people in south Leeds to create performances together and take their first steps in the arts.

Your donations will fund bursary places for children and young people from low income families to attend free of cost.

    All donations hugely appreciated. :)
