Tom is my amazing nephew, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and autism at a young age. At the age of 22, Tom has had to spend a lot of 2019 fighting another battle and has been unwell since the beginning of this year and in hospital for 7 weeks. Tom is now in the process of being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, he is just 22 years old. He is currently unable to walk unaided, feed or give himself a drink due to the awful tremors this illness has given him. Tom attends Briars Barn in Polesworth, a service for people with physical

and learning disabilities, providing work experience to gain valuable social and life skills in a fun, relaxed and friendly environment. This service is a life line for my sister and brother in law. It allows them to continue to work and lead a normal life, giving them some respite from the stresses and strains that having a child with many additional needs brings.
