Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
Hello, this is a first for me as I have never begged or asked for help in my life before, but I am so desperate to help my little dog, my fur baby, I don't know where to turn, so I am here asking for donations towards vets fees. My darling dog, Bronte has been diagnosed with cancer. I cannot even bear to say the word, but I know I have to if I am asking for your help. My baby had an operation for a hernia just over two weeks ago and it was discovered that she had liver masses that might have spread to her pancreas and possibly one of her kidneys. I am not a well off person, I use the PDSA but they cannot offer the treatment my Bronte needs. All the PDSA vet could do was make a referral. I had to take out a social loan to see a specialist oncologist which cost £308.67 for a one hour consultation. I am so glad that I went to see the specialist as he has given me so much hope but it is going to cost a great deal of money. Firstly, here is some of the transcript directly from the oncologist...
(To investigate this further, we could perform an ultrasound scan and take needle samples (FNAs) of all abnormalities to build a better picture of what is happening. This would cost £800-900. The difficulty we have now is not knowing if the lumps are removable and also the liver mass could be benign, malignant, a spread from elsewhere or a lump that started in the liver. Each of these is treated differently. FNA is often not definitive in distinguishing benign or malignant liver tumours but it can help. From there, surgery could be an option, as could chemotherapy for certain tumour types. If it looked the lump could be removed, we would need to do blood tests and a chest X-ray 1st (£400-500) and the surgery would be £3000-5000+ depending on how complicated it was. Please consider how to proceed and Bronte can come back for an ultrasound on any day (with a couple of days warning).
That is what the oncologist says and he has given me hope. Bronte is bright, and she is eating and drinking. She has been through so much in the past year or so and she never ceases to amaze me. I know together we can fight this, but I can't do it without the help of donations and time is of the essence as the sooner I can get these tests done the more chance we have. My dog is my life, she is my baby, I cannot even begin to imagine my life without her, but right now all I want to do is save her and help her and give her the best life I possibly can. She is my world. I am more then happy to answer any questions. I would like to add that I am a full time carer, hence why I am asking for donations. I am also trying to sell some possessions of mine as well to raise funds. If anyone can donate anything at all I will be eternally grateful. xx

You clearly adore your dog and I hope you get the funds you need for her scans. More than anything I hope the outcome is favourable.
