According to a study in 2017, 1 in every 73 people are now homeless in Birmingham. Two years later, the figure has definitely grown. After seeing people close to me do a lot of work to support the homeless, it has really opened my eyes & made me realise what a sad problem it is & that i wanted to get involved. Seeing it close up makes you really realise how lucky we are to have even the smallest of things. As the problem continues to grow, it definitely needs more help, acknowledgement & support - and that is why i am taking part in this event. Funds and donations will be put towards The Geoff Horsfield Foundation, who support homeless and vulnerable people in the city of Birmingham by providing quality, safe, secure and supported housing accommodation. I will be doing a 12 hour 8pm-8am Sleepout, at St Andrews on 15/2/19.
