Bangor university rowing club have carried out a sponsored erg to raise money to allow the club to train and get to bucs regetta (the biggest race of the year) at the start of may. We rowed on the rowing machines to aberystwyth university which is the location of this years varsity. This is 160 miles but we actually ended up doing a longer distance and took us around 14 hours to complete as a club.
