Story
Hello everyone, welcome to my Just Giving page, my name is Victoria and this is my story...
On the 27th of December 2018 my sister, Louise, had to have a mastectomy which was a shock to the whole family. She is now having chemotherapy and will continue to for the next six months. Louise was first diagnosed at the Breast Screening Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital, we are so grateful for the cancer to be detected early and with this I would like to raise awareness so that other Women and Men have the best chance of recovery.
"About 1 in 8 women in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. It can also affect men. If it's detected early, treatment is more successful and there's a good chance of recovery."
To raise awareness on the 11th May 2019 I will be walking 33 miles along the Sandstone Trail (from Whitchurch to Frodsham) with Sally Williamson. This is something I have chosen to do to raise funds to help the Breast Screening Unit.
"When someone has been affected by cancer, the whole family and friends who love them do too."
If you can donate any amount I would be very thankful, it doesn't matter how small, any amount can help me get towards my goal. I have chosen this amount as I am walking 33 miles, my Sister is on her 3rd round of chemotherapy and it has been 3 years today since our Dad has passed away.

5 years agoToday we close our JustGiving page. Louie and I would like to thank you all so much for your donation to The Breast Screening Unit at The COCH. We have raised £1700 oh my goodness it’s been amazing. Thank you for being apart of our journey. The support has been a huge help, it’s kept Louie going even when she has had her tough days. Today would of been our Dads birthday, he would of been super proud of his girls and absolutely thrilled with you all too. I can just see his big smile now. Lots of love and hugs, thank you Lou & Vic 🌟💖🌟
