Story
On the 2nd February 2019, our family 'The Odgers' are taking part in 'A BIG DIP' at Exmouth.
This fundraiser is in aid of Alzheimer’s and our precious lady’s care home Camelot House in Wellington.
This vile illness has many faces and affects so many lives, it’s one of the worst things any one can have and from personal experience it affects everyone in a family.
Every penny we donate to Alzheimer’s Society is making sure they can be there for people affected by dementia. They are the only UK charity investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention.
Camelot House is a top quality nursing and specialist dementia care to the elderly based in Wellington where our precious Mum & Nanny now calls home.
The activities team encourage residents to remain mentally, physically and socially active with a great range of activities, designed to cater for a wide range of interests, skills, experiences, personalities and medical conditions. However, this all costs money ...
The money we raise will be split between the two great causes.

5 years agoToday should’ve the big dip but due to the severe weather this week it has been decided to postpone the event until another day soon! We aim to do it within the next 4 weeks, so the water is still cold enough for this crazy challenge! We are all very disappointed but as the roads are so icy, it would be silly to venture out for unnecessary trips! I hope those who have sponsored us understand thank you for your support, we will keep you updated with the new date!
