    Story

Canterbury Old Bags is a group of women of older vintage supporting each other to enjoy football.

We are raising money to support the first ever International Old Girls World Cup Festival this June 2019 to coincide with the "proper" Women's World Cup in France.

Many of us Old Bags were not allowed to play footie at school and are now making up for lost time. We are all shapes, sizes, and abilities and we just love getting more and more women playing.

From small beginnings just over two years ago we are now over 100 women. From a kick in the park to our first international tournament it's been a hell of a ride and we hope you can support us to get there.

Us Old Bags need to raise £1250 towards the costs of the World Cup. The other teams are raising the rest. Its an old lady international collaboration. The costs we are raising for are listed below.

£450 would get us new goals
    £400 Referrees
    £192 World Cup Flags
    £100 bunting
£500 Bibs and printing for World Cup Games
    £250 First Aid
    £50 Photocopying
    £100 Helper t-shirts/printing
    £100 Welcome packs
    £250 Medals
    £100 Trophies
    £300 Photographer
    £15 Raffle tickets
    £20 Bucket
    £100 Printing rules/programmes
    £100 Vinyl Banners
    £240 Marketing pop ups

Here's hoping you can help us.

Thank you for your donations..you've made history. The first Old girls World Cup took place in Soissons, France on 21st June with 200 women taking part. The wonderful Soissons FC donated their stadium for free and your donations went towards marketing, promotion, sanitaries and goal hire. The tournament raffle raised £650 for domestic abuse charities in France and UK. A BBC Inside Out feature piece will show in September and a description of events can be read here https://www.facebook.com/1398503026857550/posts/2826312144076624/ Thank you!

Catherine joined the Canterbury Old Bags just over a year ago. I was welcomed by an amazing group of women. We've supported each other through tough times & we've had a lot of fun on and off the pitch. The Old Bags are everything football should be..fun, inclusive, & supportive.
