Gouves Animal Shelter provides protection for stray and injured animals in Crete. The shelter was founded 2009 and since then they have had the privilege of helping hundreds of dogs. Their aim is to give the dogs a second chance, by providing food, shelter and medical care and possibly rehoming. The organization doesn't get any financial help from the government, so they rely heavily on kind-hearted people with donations.They have a constant need for vaccinations and worming tablets and in many cases they find dogs that need immediate medical attention or surgery. They have many dogs they have to take care of on a daily basis. All the staff at the shelter voluntieer and put their heart and sole in to it they are amazing. I am trying to raise money just to help them along the way with blankets food bowls etc anything they need to help these lovely dogs get a second chance after they all deserve a loving home and a second chance. Please if you could spare anything even if its a 1.00 it all counts.
