Our Grandson Oliver 18 months ago was diagnosed with a rare condition called Fibro-Adipose vascular Anomaly (FAVA). FAVA is a very painful condition which caused swelling of the limb difficulties walking and doing normal everyday activities . Oliver walks on tip toes because of this condition, he can not walk very far, tires easily and relies a lot on his buggy , however due to his weight a normal buggy is no longer suitable because this is very painful and uncomfortable for him.
Oliver now needs a disability pushchair which not only supports his leg a lot better but would also enable him to sleep and feel more comfortable. a child wheelchair is not suitable as he does not have the support he needs and can not lay back to sleep.
in the next 3-4 months Oliver is due to have his second operation on his leg where he will be in plaster cast for 6 months and will need intensive physio to learn to walk. run and use the leg all over again.
