The Band Contest hosted in Carrbrook each year is a fun and important date in the calendar for many residents in Carrbrook and the surounding villages. It is a night where people meet up with their oldest friends, watch the children playing in the countryside, buy a hot dog from the scouts, have a pint from the Institute and listen to the wonderful music played by the best bands in the country.

But.....did you know that this contest is hosted by a very small group of volunteers who give up their time to make sure that each year it runs smoothly. More to the point, each year the Band Contest in Carrbrook costs £3000! We need to raise money for the prizes, stage hire, safety barriers (the list goes on) and without this money, the contest simply could not happen.

This year the contest will be held on Friday 14th June from 4pm.
