A year and a half ago, my son, Luca, was taken to A&E at St Mary's Hospital. After 3 days of tests we were told that he had brainstem encephalitis. The doctors were in "uncharted waters" and could not guarantee a positive outcome. Luca subsequently received treatment from over 40 specialists, doctors, nurses, physios and therapists and is now fit, healthy and himself again.
