Clevedon Coastal Rowing member and local lady, Gemma Best, is part of a crew, Force Genesis https://www.forcegenesis.co.uk/ , who on the 12th December will start a 3000 miles row across the Atlantic Ocean, which they intend to complete in 45 days. The crew will be taking part in the Talisker Whisky Challenge https://www.taliskerwhiskyatlanticchallenge.com/ . The crew of 4 who will take 2 hour turns at rowing with the need to have at least 2 people rowing at all times for the full 3000 miles. This roughly equates to 26.5Km each per day. To support Gemma in her endeavour and to raise funds their club, the rowers left behind intend to match the daily total that Gemma will have to row on Concept 2 rowing machines here in Clevedon. The challenge will be to match the total every day for the full 45 days Gemma is rowing and post the progress on the club Facebook page and website.
