    Story

For the 5th year Aaron is taking part on the EMF on the 26/05/2019

This year however, he is donating 50% of all funds to a stroke charity and 50% for his 11year old friend Andrew. Read below for the respective stories:

“When I was a baby my mum’s friend also had a baby boy called Andrew. He is 1 year younger than me and since we were little we played together. Like me, Andrew likes video games and sports, we always played football when we saw each other. Last Christmas time, my mum told me Andrew was sick and that she needed to be in the hospital with him and his mum and dad to talk to the doctors. When she came home that night I heard her crying in the bathroom which is next to my room. I asked my mum if the doctors were going to make Andrew better and she told me they were going to try very hard but that I needed to pray for him. A few weeks later she told me Andrew had brain cancer and that he was going back to France for the special hospital for children. I was sad because I wanted to spend more time with him but I know that the doctors are trying to save him there. I pray every night for God to make him better and we can play the xbox and go to the park to play football again soon”

Andrew has a rare and aggressive brain tumour. He has responded well to the first round of radiotherapy and we pray everyday for a miracle cure.

    Aaron’s grandpa story

”5 years ago I was at school waiting for my mum and dad to come see my Egyptian work , I was so proud of my display. But then they called me into the office and told my parents couldn’t come in, my grandpa had a fall in the garden and was in hospital. I was disappointed but more worried about grandpa. I then got told grandpa had a stroke, I didn’t know what that meant but when I visited him in hospital he couldn’t talk anymore, or walk, or eat or drink. I missed talking to him , everytime I saw him I held his hand, I made him cards, all he did was squeeze my hands , smile or cry. The doctors and nurses looked after him for many months until he got very poorly and died. When my mum told me he had died I cried, but I know he is in heaven looking after his garden, picking the best raspberries for us and riding his bike, I am happy he is with his own mum and dad too. I promised every year I would run in his memory”

Aaron’s grandpa, Gordon, had a series of strokes and remained in hospital for 9 months until he finally passed away, just a few weeks short of the birth of Aaron’s youngest sister. We miss him a lot!

Please support our boy who has taken the full initiative for all the above 🥰thank you
