I have been given the most amazing opportunity with a group of 6 of my colleagues, to go to Ghana and take part in a community build for those in need at the end of October 2019. This is a project I have wanted to do for such a long time and believe it will have such an amazing impact to the lives of people less fortunate than ourselves. It will enable and facilitate access to necessities such as hospitals, clean sanitation and education and by helping build these vital facilities, access to healthcare and education will be enhanced therefore alleviating poverty for the next generation.

My target to cover all costs for the trip is £1,500 with anything additional being donated to a second charity who work closely with the area. In doing this, my colleagues and I are going to be able to make a HUGE difference to those who need it. I just need a little help getting there.

I have also been confirmed match funding by the Kreston Reeves Foundation meaning roughly 70% of the £1,500 and anything additional up to the value of £10,000 between the 7 of us will be matched funded and donated to One Child Ghana. A humongous thank you to them!

I will be undertaking the community build thanks to the amazing charity POD (podvolunteer.org ) and any additional donations along with the match funding will be greatly received by One Child Ghana. (onechildghana.org )
