I’ll keep this as short as I can. Basically, my Mum had to go onto Universal Credit, due to physical problems. The job she had, she worked at for 8 years. She fought through her pain until she couldn’t handle it anymore. Shes now 60 years old. Now, she’s on Universal Credit. She received a payment off of her work, which put her Universal Credit payment to £0 last month and again this month! I‘m being told it shouldn’t be two months, but do they care? No. The money she received had fo go on last months rent.. Due to Universal Credit not backpaying her money, she fell into rent arrears of £600 when she first applied for UC, which lead to Retail Trust paying it off not too long ago for her. She is very grateful for this, of course! But now, due to her payment being 0 this month as well, shes now in arrears again! £590 odd.. plus, she doesn’t have money for her Council Tax, Electric and Gas. So, this is why I’m setting this up.. in the hopes of getting her some help for this month. She’s depressed. She just needs to get through this month.
