After much planning for our NCS social action project, we have decided to fundraise using a bucket collection and just funding page to purchase items that can be included in the sensory garden at Ottely House in Shrewsbury, which is a care home for the elderly .This may involve purchasing textured cushions or designing our own sensory boards. The theme is based on The Wizard of Oz and the garden is called Over The Rainbow. It is our intention to spend a couple of days in the care home, aiding the staff to construct the garden and getting to know the residents. We feel as if the response of the residents is much more special and rewarding than just donating money and not being able to the see the positive impact on those receiving it.

We will be at Ottley House in the 14th and 15th of August helping to construct their sensory garden and we are asking members of the general public to come along and help out. Any help at all will be extremely appreciated to get us one step closer to achieving the desired outcome of some very happy residents!
