Weʼve raised £385 to Fund Cochlear Implants for Two Profoundly Deaf Children, Moon and Erica, from a poor Christian family in Pakistan

Funded on Monday, 19th August 2019

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

Erica and her brother have been deaf since birth and neither can they speak. They live in a village near the city of Lahore. They need cochlear implants but there is no NHS so it will cost their family £12,000 per child. Their father is a pastor running a church and a school in the village. It is a poor area and his income is very small. Please can you help? If you would please make a small donation.

MOON AND ERICA Two months ago we started the fund to give hearing and speech, we hoped, to Moon and Erica. But very sadly we now discover this goal is impossible because of the children’s age. A specialist in Karachi this week told them both they were too old for a cochlear implant. Through Just Giving and other donations we have raised £600. If you have no objection we will send this money to the family of the children for educational/training help for their future. Thanks again for your love, generosity and concern. Barrie & Eileen

Here is the rather sad Hearing Record of Erica. If together we can do something to help her and her brother, that would great achievement and bring them the chance of taking their part in the world. Thank you.

Big thanks to those who have given the first gifts to start us on our way. Any small gift will add to the whole. Think how much your family has benefited from the National Health Service and give a gift to these two children from a poor Christian family in Pakistan. Thank you so much. This is Erica...
