Local businessman Richard Jamieson, owner of the Circle Lounge and part owner of the Copper Cow Steakhouse is looking to complete a strenuous and challenging 19 day trek up to the Everest Basecamp in May. Richard says this has always been on his bucket list to do something like this. He is raising funds for the Halifax RLFC Foundation to assist them to continue their excellent work within our our local community for the over 50's. The trek will take him 19 days with 6 other people taking part. Richard flies to Kathmandu and then flies onto Lukla airport, which is one of the most dangerous airports in the world due to its location and size. He has been training for this adventure for 14 months but "nothing can prepare you for the difficulties with the altitude" says Richard
