Bev had surgery in Berlin on Thursday and they have removed her stomach which had the tumour in and also parts of the peritoneum that were cancerous. They successfully removed 99% of the cancer cells through this. They have then administered a process called HIPEC that pumps heated chemotherapy through the abdomen to attack the residue left over. We will be in Berlin until next Sunday if she has recuperated sufficiently. She will need another few cycles of chemo in a few weeks to really kick its ass and win this battle. We visited a new clinic in Berlin this week which specialises in treating Peritoneal disease (this is where the stomach cancer has spread to). This is currently incurable but big strides are happening in combating it - but not available in the UK. We are going back to Berlin on the 22nd April for a week of tests and treatments. If the conditions are favourable (fingers crossed) we can then have a treatment called HIPEC, in the near future, that can really kick this cancers arse. This is quite expensive (£30k +) so the fund raising continues!

Thanks for your continued support all of you! Back off to Frankfurt today for more treatment. We have also paid (thanks to the amazing contributions) to get a genetic profile of the cancer cells so we can find out what immunotherapy drugs may help Bev.
