The Market Harborough Christmas Fayre 2018 will be held on Friday December 7th…… at least it will be if we can raise the necessary funds! The event is organized and run by a community interest company set up specifically for this one purpose alone. The members of this company take no salary, dividends or expenses, they just donate a great deal of their time and effort to make the event happen, as do dozens of volunteers.
We need your help to ensure we can stage the event again this year. We have raised some money already but we need more, about £7000.
The 2017 event cost £9379 to put on. Just a couple of examples: closing the roads cost £1224 and street cleaning after the event cost £1200. We received a £5000 grant from the council last year. No grant is being made this year, or in future years as far as we are aware.
If you and your family have enjoyed Market Harborough Christmas Fayre in the past, and would like this event to happen in 2018, please make a small donation, it will all add up. Think of it as a modest entrance fee to a great local social event.
Of course, if you wish to make a very generous donation, we will be delighted to accept that, too! If we are fortunate enough to end up with a surplus it will be carried forward to fund future Christmas Fairs.
