I recently read somewhere that approximately it would cost approximately £1 billion to clear the worlds oceans of plastic.

Considering that the Notre Dame repair fund hit this in a few days, I reckon this isn't outside the realms of possibility

Unfortunately, the maximum amount a kickstarter will allow you to raise is £9,999,999 (just under 1% of the estimated total), if this target is achieved, these funds will be used to manage the project and aim to remove 1% of the oceans plastic.

Once the target has been achieved, I will repeat this kickstarter 99 further times to enable the remaining 99% of the plastic in the sea's oceans to be removed.

Dig deep guys, hopefully some of the billionaires who donated to Notre-Dame will be getting on board with this!
