Assalamu alaikum wrwb ,

As we all know part of charity in Islam is to help the suffering and needy among us and to help the wider ummah. But what about the local sisters/ families that need our help ?!

We have a local brother and sister who have fallen into debt through no fault of their own, her and her husband work so hard , and also do much charity work but unfortunately Allah is testing them as we speak. The tax office has piled up an amount of debt unto them including “over payments” which they didn’t even ask for, that they just cannot pay and they do not see anyway out. They have no savings at present and are already working maximum hours possible which also puts a strain on family life.

The government and benefits system is supposed to be helping working couples but instead they are entrapping then into debt. This family does not deal in usury (interest) and are very careful with what they earn and spend Subhan’Allah . It is very easy for our brothers and sisters to go and take out loans or get interest related cards to pay off debt , we want to try and protect them from this happening.

Please firstly make dua for the brother and sister and please dig deep to donate and help them clear their debt In sha Allah.
