Story
The joyful sound of bells ringing out to local villagers is a much-loved feature of the soundscape of our land. Bell-ringing is a great community activity, bringing together ringers of all ages – from children to those well into their eighties and beyond.
But Cottered's bells haven't been rung regularly for many years because we only have five bells. That's not enough to attract skilled ringers, offer training facilities for new ringers, or make a really tuneful sound!
We've been offered a suitable bell which is perfect for re-homing in Cottered, but we need to raise the funds to tune it and hang it in our bell tower.
A 6th bell will bring new life to our village!
