Iʼve raised £440 to Help us move our gymnastics club to a new facility.

Funded on Tuesday, 31st December 2019

    Story

For 25 years, Broadwood Gymnastics Academy has been the home for Cumbernauld Gymnastics Club. At the end of this year, North Lanarkshire will not be renewing our lease, with no exceptions, which will mean we will be without a facility from 31st December 2018.

Planning permission is in place for a new facility within Cumbernauld. As Cumbernauld Gymnastics Club will be 50 years old next year and the staff do not want all the years of dedication and hard work to go to waste.

Over the years, Cumbernauld Gymnastics Club has produced champions in all age groups at all levels. Gymnasts have not only represented their club, but also their country, competing at European Championships, World School Games and the Commonwealth Games. We feel that Cumbernauld Gymnastics Club provide a great sporting service to the community, allowing children to explore the sport of gymnastics in a safe, fun and exciting environment and we would be sad for that to disappear. We need as much help as possible to raise funds to facilitate our move and keep the club going.

Thank you so much for everyone who has donated to help us with our move! We have been really busy over Christmas moving gym and the new place is starting to take shape. We are on track to have the gym open on the 14th of January for all recreation classes and can't wait for you all to see the new place!
