    Story

    world challenge

in July 2019, i will be taking part in Wold Challenge with my school. World Challenge is an organisation that provide opportunities for young people to take part in expeditions to the developing world. We will be travelling to Peru, and while we're there will be trekking, helping to improve development within the local communities, and much more. While we don't yet know precisely what we're going to be doing (as we are yet to plan our itinerary), we know it will be very worthwhile and can't wait to get started. in previous years, groups have worked alongside school communities to improve learning environments and make the school sites safer and more hygienic. They have also worked with local communities to construct safe housing, social spaces and infrastructure to support vulnerable members of the community.

"We work in five key global action areas:

Education , Sustainable livelihoods , Conservation , Water, health and sanitation , welfare and housing"

How i will be raising the money

I hope to raise money in lots of ways however for my main event I will be doing a sponsored canoe challenge down the Thames! I have roped my Dad Jo into this challenge and together we will be canoeing from Lechlade in Gloucestershire to Abingdon in Oxfordshire, over a period of 3 days on the 28th-30th June 2018.

I start my challenge early on the 28th from the famous Ha'penny Bridge in Lechlade. The first night's camping will be halfway to Oxford and on my second night I will camp just North of Oxford so that I can start my final day by paddling through the glorious Port Meadow at dawn. Hopefully I will finish early in the afternoon on the 30th by having a long cool drink in the Famous town of Abingdon.

Wish me luck and I would really appreciate any help you can give by sponsoring me!

    THANK YOU!!
