Story
Over the last 18 months I have been in training for this race.
It all started with a very slow 2 mile run on a cold wet January night, weighing almost 50 pounds heavier than I am today.
This has certainly been a long journey but I am excited and nervous about completing my first half marathon.
I am running in aid of The Sepsis Trust and The Number 11 charities.
The Sepsis Trust is a charity close to the hearts of both staff and pupils at Moorside High and Number 11 are a wonderful charity aiming to change the lives of the homeless in Stoke on Trent.

5 years agoSo 13.1 miles done today, covering most of the 'Arf Marathon route. It was obviously hard work but has given me a good time to aim for in 3 weeks. Thank you all for the sponsorship to date.

Running a half marathon has always been a goal of mine, as I have always been inspired by my dad's running. Starting off at over 19 stone was hard work but I feel ready for the race despite being nervous. I know the two charities will make excellent use of any donations.
