Broc’s story:-

Broc was a rejected pup from birth so was bottle fed by his breeder, all 4 legs were in a bad way but his back legs became almost normal, he has had lots of vet appointments and has been loved and worshiped by the breeder .....

Unfortunately his family now find themselves in an impossible situation and they have to find a suitable place for him. Rosog Equine & Dashing Hounds Rescue has decided that we would love him to come into our rescue and we will see what we can do to improve the mobility for this young silver dapple Dachshund.

Following local x-rays, Broc has been referred to a specialist vet for further examination.

This is where we need your help...the potential cost to repair and stabalise his front legs, if it is deemed appropriate to do so could be from £9,000 each leg. That is not taking into account the other two legs, or any other issues he has around his neck.

We currently have £2,500 from previous fundraising for a young dachshund that in the end we couldn't save (Munchkin’s Legacy).

This is a big ask, and we DO NOT keep a dog going for the sake of it, but he is a very happy boy, with a strong will and a lot of determination....

However, we need to act now or his quality of life will deteriorate as arthritis sets in and mobility reduces, and we could miss the timely opportunity to give this lad a bright, happy and mobile future.
