I am taking part in the Tough Mudder on 9th September along with my colleague Billy to raise funds for MDCF (Maanya Devi Charitable Foundation). We will be running 5 miles & completing 13 obstacles.

MDCF are fund raising to obtain a MRI diagnostic machine to support an outstanding charitable hospital project in rural India. The Hospital treats the poorest children and adults in the surrounding area. To date 70,000 patients have been seen over a period of 6 years. A large number of these patients need MRI scanning to assist in the accurate diagnosing of head injuries, cancers and spinal injuries. Currently they are having to turn away seriously ill patients and send them to other hospitals for MRI scans. The journey to the nearest hospital performing MRI is expensive and medically hazardous. Most patients cannot afford the journey or the MRI scan and as a result become much more seriously ill.

We have a target all together of £10,000 so we are going to try our best to raise as much money as possible, that's why we thought we'd take part in Tough Mudder! Wish us luck.
