Story
My name is Adrian Netherwood and i will be doing a Bicycle ride from Rosyth Naval Base in Scotland to HMS Excellent in Portsmouth England. This ride is to raise funds for the Type 42 Association Charity (RNRMC) and Combat Stress.
Leaving Rosyth Saturday 29th June arriving at Reunion 04 Saturday 6th July 2019:
ITINERARY – TOTAL DISTANCE APPROX 560 miles
FRIDAY 28th June – Will arrive in Rosyth night before I set off on the ride.
DAY 1 Saturday 29th June– Rosyth to Berwick - 74 miles
DAY 2 Sunday 30th June – Berwick to Newcastle – 75 miles .
DAY 3 Monday 1st July – Newcastle to York – 91 miles
DAY 4 Tuesday 2nd July – York to Sheffield – 55 miles
DAY 5 Wednesday 3rd July – Sheffield to Coventry – 91 miles
DAY 6 Thursday 4th July – Coventry to Newbury – 87 miles
DAY 7 Friday 5th July – Newbury to Portsmouth (Via Southampton) – 70 miles
It is intended to rest in Southampton on Friday night and proceed to the Reunion in Portsmouth on Saturday. If any members of the association who will be attending the reunion and feels like joining me on the final run please do.

5 years agoNote from Adrian Hi All, the next time you hear from me i will be on my way. Training has gone well putting in many miles and many feet of climbing over the last three months or so. With another £600 to add on once I complete, we are now well over £1000. this is a great result so far as I appreciate most of you will be saving your dosh for the raffle and auctions on the day at Reunion 04. If however you can spare the odd quid, please do say as this is all incremental to add on to the final amount on the day. Cheers!!!

5 years agoLatest Post By Adrian £600 approx from friends etc on completion of the ride, £395 here so going good. Training is going well, I put in a tough 107 miles on Saturday in the North Yorkshire Dales with 9000 Ft climbing. Next Sunday 2nd June I'm doing the Le Petit. Depart from Skipton - another 100 miler then two weeks later the Wetherby to Filey ride. So we are well on track, support in place and ready to rock - good to go.
